This probably won’t do shit and I will probably not get even one note but… Hey it was worth a try.

True true true.
At the same time, when trans women adress this difference they often end up stating or suggesting false oppositions.
“Our identities are real, theirs are fake. Our identities are inherent, theirs are chosen. Our lives are hard, theirs are easy.”
These false oppositions are harmful. They’re harmful to trans women (what if you don’t feel like you were ‘born this way’? It doesn’t make you any less a trans woman) and they’re very harmful to drag queens.
To be a drag queen can be an important and very real part of your identity. It can be something you’ve wanted since you were 3. Facing the rejection of society based on being who you are by doing drag can be very hard. To be a drag queen can also be just super fun, because reality is complex like that.
But these false oppositions, we should steer well clear of them. They’re bullshit.
"i’m gonna study now" is my most used lie ever
I feel like Rebel Wilson did whatever the hell she wanted and barely followed the script for this movie.

Can we please just tell every middle schooler this instead of making them feel embarrassed by their existence and their need to try new things? It would be much nicer to hear this through middle school and high school than it is to hear about how dumb your phase or whatever is and how much you’ll regret it in a year.
Damn, every time I see this go by my dash, it has, like, 10K more notes. I’m awed by how much it seems to have meant to so many people, and incredibly moved to see so many notes saying that this has mattered.
a lot of fedora-type dudes don’t actually wear fedoras, you just know them from the way they are. it’s like a personality fedora. an internal fedora
